
Eddie White, CP
Mr. White has worked in Prosthetics and Orthotics for 30 years. He came into the field as an apprentice in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science Degree and a major in Biology. He began his training and worked as a technician learning the field from the ground up. He received his Certificate in Prosthetics in 1982 from New York University Medical School and became a Certified Prosthetist in 1983. He has now managed patient care facilities for over 25 years. He has a great deal of enthusiasm for the field and genuine concern for each patient. He takes his responsibilities as a practitioner and as a leader for O&P interests and education in North Carolina seriously.
Mr. White is currently President of the North Carolina Orthotics and Prosthetics Trade Association (NCOPTA) for a second time. He has served continuously since their inception as a member of their Board of Directors. He is a consultant to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP) and an active member and Past President of the North Carolina Chapter of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (NCAAOP). He has served as a Medicare consultant and as a member of the NCAAOP Committee for Government Relations. His dedication to service and commitment to the individual needs of Beacon’s patients is his driving force. He works diligently to insure that Beacon lives up to its motto of Quality, Caring Service.
